The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile

  Bridge to 20 nm west of Dry Tortugas out 20 nm...

  Gulf of Mexico from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal

  out to 5 fathoms...

  Gulf of Mexico including Dry Tortugas and Rebecca Shoal Channel...

  Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and

  beyond 5 fathoms...



* Until 345 AM EDT.



* At 256 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 10 nm south of T Tower to 8 nm northeast of New

  Ground Rocks Light to 8 nm southeast of Fort Jefferson, moving east

  at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher 

           waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

  Rebecca Shoal Light, Halfmoon Shoal Light, Tortugas Ecological

  Reserve South, Dry Tortugas Light, Smith Shoal Light, Cosgrove
