The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  East Santa Barbara Channel from Pt. Conception to Pt. Mugu CA

  including Santa Cruz Island...

  Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal from 10 to 60 NM...

  Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal westward out to 10 NM...

  Waters from Pt. Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and westward 60 nm

  including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands...



* Until 1015 PM PDT.



* At 809 PM PDT, lined of strong storms capable of producing waterspouts 

  was located off the coast of San Luis Obispo County south of Cambria, as well

  as off the coast of western Santa Barbara County. The storms was moving to the northeast

  at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Possible Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, small 

           hail, and possible lightning. 



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Pismo Beach...

  Avila Beach...

  and San Miguel Island.

expected.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.
