The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal from 10 to 60 NM...

  Point Piedras Blancas to Point Sal westward out to 10 NM...

  Waters from Pt. Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and westward 60 nm

  including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands...



* Until 245 PM PDT.



* At 1250 PM PDT, lines of strong thunderstorms capable of producing 

  waterspouts were located over the coastal waters off the Central 

  Coast, north and west of the Channel Islands. Storms were moving to

  the northeast at around 25 knots. 

 

  HAZARD...Possible Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, small hail, 

           and cloud to ocean lightning. 



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Point Sal...

  Point Piedras Blancas...

  Morro Bay...

  Point Conception...

  and Cambria.
