The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...



* Until 1230 AM EDT.



* At 1023 PM EDT, gust fronts were located along a line extending

  from 12 nm east of Tidal Basin to 6 nm northwest of Gunston Hall to

  16 nm west of Quantico, moving southeast at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Buoy.



  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by 

           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.



* Locations impacted include...

  Yeocomico River, Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Piney Point, Mouth

  Of The Potomac River, Cobb Island, Point Lookout, Tall Timbers,

  Coltons Point, Nomini Bay, Coles Point, Saint George Island,

  Wicomico River, and White Point Beach.
