The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Much of the coastal waters from Point Piedras Blancas to San Mateo Point  



* Until 145 AM PDT.



* At 1137 PM PDT, widespread thunderstorms activity continued across

  much of the coastal waters from near Point Piedras Blancas to San Mateo 

  Point. Individual storm were generally moving to the north northeast

  at 15 knots.



  HAZARD...Enhanced threat of waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots,

           large hail, and cloud to water lightning.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats. Small craft could

           be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher

           waves. Large hail could result in structural damage.

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous

seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.



Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded

metal objects.
