The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...

  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...



* Until 445 PM EDT.



* At 310 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 20 nm southwest of Fairview Beach to 37 nm southwest

  of Westmoreland State Park, moving east at 40 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by 

           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

  Yeocomico River, Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Piney Point,

  Westmoreland State Park, Mouth Of The Potomac River, Colonial

  Beach, Cobb Island, Tall Timbers, Swan Point, Coltons Point, Nomini

  Bay, Coles Point, Saint George Island, Wicomico River, and White

  Point Beach.
