CENTRAL JACKSON AND WEST CENTRAL DEKALB COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM

CDT...



At 511 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over

Guntersville, moving northeast at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Albertville, Scottsboro, Guntersville, Rainsville, Fyffe, Hollywood,

Powell, Grant, Section, and Dutton.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
