...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CHIPPEWA COUNTY THROUGH

300 PM EDT...



At 158 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over

Bayview Campground, or near Point Iroquois, moving east at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Sault Ste. Marie, Point Iroquois, Bay Mills, Dafter, Brimley, Brimley

State Park, Bayview Campground, Sugar Island, and McCarron.
