The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  East central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...



* Until 715 PM MDT.



* At 612 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hagerman, or

  15 miles northeast of Artesia, moving east at 35 mph.



  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.



  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 

           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Dexter, Hagerman, Lake Arthur, and Greenfield.
