At 612 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Premont, moving

east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...Quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.



Locations impacted include...

Premont, La Gloria, Rios, and Cruz Calle.



This includes US Highway 281 between mile markers 688 and 704.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to

be struck by lightning.

SOUTHWESTERN INDIAN RIVER AND SOUTHEASTERN OSCEOLA COUNTIES WILL

EXPIRE AT 715 PM EDT...

The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has weakened.

Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However small 

hail and gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
