FOR SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON...NORTHWESTERN HYDE...NORTHEASTERN

BEAUFORT AND WEST CENTRAL TYRRELL COUNTIES...



At 434 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Yeatesville, or

15 miles east of River Road, moving east at 45 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 

         roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Belhaven, Sladesville, Pinetown, Ransomville, Ponzer, Scranton,

Pungo, Pamlico Beach, Pike Road, Leechville, Winsteadville, Rose Bay,

Bayview, Sidney Crossroads, Terra Ceia, Yeatesville, Pungo Lake, Swan

Quarter Ferry Terminal, Goose Creek State Park, and Bayview Ferry

Terminal.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.

They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in

Newport.



Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to

be struck by lightning.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

FOR NORTHEASTERN DARLINGTON AND SOUTHERN MARLBORO COUNTIES...



At 434 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles west of

Dunbar, or 9 miles south of Bennettsville, moving east at 40 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind 

         damage to trees and power lines.

Brownsville, Society Hill, and Blenheim.
