the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for

southeastern North Carolina...and northeastern South Carolina.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT

FOR WEST CENTRAL COLUMBUS...NORTHWESTERN HORRY AND CENTRAL MARION

COUNTIES...



At 742 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles west of

Green Sea, or 11 miles southeast of Mullins, moving southeast at 35

mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 

         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 

         mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Conway, Mullins, Horry, Tabor City, Loris, Fair Bluff, Galivants

Ferry, Homewood, Adrian, Cherry Grove, Gapway, Brittons Neck, Sidney,

Rains, Clarendon, Bayboro, Allsbrook, Green Sea, Aynor, and Nichols.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside

should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from

windows.
