DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM MST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Pilar was located near latitude 10.8 North, longitude 112.8 West. Pilar is moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through tonight. A northwestward motion is forecast to begin early Monday and continue through midweek. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next few days, and Pilar is expected to become a remnant low by Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center.
