SITUATION At 1200 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 30 nautical miles of latitude twelve decimal two south (12.2S) longitude one hundred and nineteen decimal four east (119.4E) Recent movement : south at 3 knots Maximum winds : 30 knots Central pressure: 1000 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 18 to 24 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 40 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in SW quadrant FORECAST Maximum winds to 30 knots near the centre increasing to 40 knots by 0000 UTC 06 April and to 50 knots by 1200 UTC 06 April. From 1200UTC 6 April winds above 48 knots within 30 nautical miles of centre in the SE and SW quadrant with very rough seas and moderate swell. From 1800 UTC 05 April winds above 34 knots within 50 nautical miles in SE quadrant and extending to within 50 nautical miles in the SW quadrant by 0000UTC 6 April. From 0600 UTC 06 April winds above 34 knots within 50 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in the SW quadrant and within 40 nautical miles in the NE quadrant with rough seas and moderate swell.
