SITUATION At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 25 nautical miles of latitude fifteen decimal eight south (15.8S) longitude one hundred and twenty one decimal five east (121.5E) Recent movement : west at 11 knots Maximum winds : 25 knots Central pressure: 999 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 36 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 60 nautical miles of the centre. FORECAST Maximum winds to 25 knots near the centre increasing to 40 knots by 1800 UTC 22 February. Winds above 34 knots within 60 nautical miles of centre in SE quadrant by 0600 UTC 22 February with rough seas and moderate swell. By 1800 UTC 22 February, winds above 34 knots within 50 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 40 nautical miles in NW quadrant with rough to very rough seas and moderate swell.
