The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Northern Pope County in southern Illinois...

  Northern Johnson County in southern Illinois...

  Southern Williamson County in southern Illinois...

  Southern Saline County in southern Illinois...



* Until 515 AM CDT.



* At 449 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near Lake Of Egypt Area, or 7 miles south of Marion,

  moving east at 45 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Marion, Creal Springs, and Lake Of Egypt Area around 455 AM CDT.

  Carrier Mills around 505 AM CDT.



Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include

Stonefort, New Burnside, and Muddy.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 1 and 7.

 Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 40 and 52.
