The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Southeastern Jackson County in southern Illinois...



* Until 330 PM CDT.



* At 302 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located over Cedar Lake Area, or near Carbondale, moving east

  at 30 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Carbondale and Cedar Lake Area around 305 PM CDT.



Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include

Makanda.
