The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Northeastern Lee County in southwestern Georgia...



* Until 515 AM EDT.



* At 440 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near De Soto, or 11 miles northeast of Leesburg, moving

  east at 50 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of

  northeastern Lee County, including the following locations...

  Chokee.
