Total snow accumulations of up to two inches. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Coast, Toksook Bay area. * WHEN...Until 4 PM AKDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow and strong winds gusting 40 to 50 mph from the northwest overnight has led to reduced visibility of one half mile or less for several hours overnight. Latest observations have reduced visibility further to one quarter mile with heavy snow and sustained northwest winds of 35 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. The worst conditions are expected to continue through this morning and into the early afternoon before snow and winds ease a bit. Farther inland from the coast, rain is observed in Bethel and remains out of the threat. Farther west toward Nunivak Island, light snow showers at times with no reductions in visibility expected during the day today. Heavier snow is expected to return late tonight with the strongest winds shifting toward Nunivak Island. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely.
