...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM AKDT

WEDNESDAY FOR THE KUSKOKWIM DELTA COAST...



* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 5 to 

  10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.



* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast.



* WHEN...Until 11 AM AKDT Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of snow or rain/snow mixed this 

  afternoon will transition to all snow by this evening and 

  become heavier through the evening and overnight hours. Snow 

  will continue through Wednesday morning before changing back 

  over to a rain/snow mix. The highest accumulations will be 

  along the Kuskokwim Delta Coast where the coldest air will 

  remain. Farther inland, 2 to 4 inches of snow is possible 

  through Wednesday morning.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM WEDNESDAY

TO 11 AM AKDT THURSDAY...



* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow 

  accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 

  mph. Visibility reduced to as low as one half mile at times.



* WHERE...Eastern Aleutians.



* WHEN...From 4 AM Wednesday to 11 AM AKDT Thursday.



* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing 

  snow could significantly reduce visibility.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain this afternoon will transition to 

  snow overnight as colder air moves in. Temperatures will 

  continue through Wednesday as winds increase and snow showers 

  persist. Snow could fall at a rate of one to two inches per 

  hour in heavier snow bands Wednesday morning. The combination 

  of heavier snow and gusty winds could significantly reduce 

  visibility at times. Show showers are expected to taper off 

  Thursday morning.
