SITUATION AT 0000UTC
Vigorous northwesterly flow developing associated with a low, forecast low
979hPa near 49S085E at 151800UTC, and low 972hPa near 51S090E at 160000UTC.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 44S081E 41S087E 49S097E 52S088E 44S081E.

FORECAST
Clockwise winds 34/47 knots developing within 360nm of low in the northern
semicircle from 151500UTC. Wind speeds increasing to 45/55 knots within 120nm
of low in the northern quadrant after 151800UTC. Very rough to high seas,
rising to very high with storm force winds. Moderate swell.

Wind and wave forecasts are averages. Wind gusts can be 40 per cent stronger
than the forecast, and stronger still in squalls and thunderstorms. Maximum
waves can be twice the forecast height.
