The KFFC radar will be down for up to 5 days for the refurbishment of the transm
itter chassis. This transmitter update is the second major part of the Service L
ife Extension Program (SLEP), where old breakers and cables will be replaced wit
h new cables and modern fuses. The outage is scheduled through the entire week, 
but the radar may return to service as early as Wednesday night or Thursday morn
ing.
