...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING THE WATERS...

  Coastal Waters from Eastport, ME to Schoodic Point, ME out 25 
  NM...
  Waters from Eastport ME to Schoodic Point, ME from 25 to 40 nm...

At 857 AM EDT, satellite imagery and doppler radar indicated strong 
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These 
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 34 nm 
southeast of Great Duck Island Light to 39 nm south of Moose Peak 
Light, moving north at 30 knots.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

This strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when these storms reach the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
these storms arrive.
