...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include... 

Lake Michigan from North Point Light WI to Winthrop Harbor IL 5 nm 
offshore to mid lake...

At 847 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable 
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were 
located along a line extending from 22 nm east of North Point 
Lighthouse, to 21 nm east of Winthrop Harbor, moving east at 10 
knots.

Strong thunderstorms will remain over the open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor 
immediately until these storms pass.
