At 246 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 20 nm
southwest of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port to 9 nm south of Eugene
Island 306, moving east at 45 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should
seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
