Lake Superior from Upper Entrance to Portage Canal to Manitou Island
MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian Border...

At 605 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 15 nm northeast of Rock of
Ages Light to 23 nm southwest of Mott Island Park Headquarters,
moving northeast at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail.

SOURCE...Satellite imagery indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Mott Island Park Headquarters.
