Multiple low pressure centers will track northward along a front stationed over the Eastern Gulf through Thursday. The initial two lows generated wind gusts of around 50 knots measured at gulf buoys higher values up Clarence Strait. Seas at the gulf buoys have also increased to 25-30 feet with a southerly swell of around 20 feet as of Tuesday afternoon. As the current low over the NE gulf tracks inland, expect a wind shift from south to southwesterly Tuesday evening and overnight, then winds and seas will decrease slightly going into Wednesday. However, the next in the series of lows tracks northward late Wednesday night through Thursday morning. This will again cause winds to reach storm force levels over the gulf and for seas to rise to 30 feet. Wind driven waves will cause tides to be elevated above predicted tide tables, namely along the outer coast and near ocean entrances. Property below the high tide line may be at risk during peak noon tides over the coming days. $$
