At 1225 PM, isolated thunderstorms, along with rain and snow
continue to affect portions of Southwest MT in Beaverhead, Madison
and Gallatin counties. A mix of rain and snow is falling at lower
elevations, with mostly snow falling for elevations above 5500
feet. Visibility is reduced to less than a half mile at times in
heavier snow showers.

Those out recreating should be alert for potential lightning
strikes. Reminder, lightning can strike up to 10 miles away.

Expect this precipitation to affect Southwest MT through the
afternoon hours.
