.NOW...A thunderstorm will move north-northeastward across the
upper Hood River Valley and central Columbia River Gorge over the
next hour. Expect brief heavy rain, small hail and frequent
lightning with this storm. Rainfall rates of a tenth to a quarter
of an inch in 10 minutes or less may produce rapid ponding of
water on roadways. Recreationists on and near the Columbia River
around Hood River should also seek shelter immediately.
