At 353 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms mainly 
over northern sections of Person and Granville Counties in North 
Carolina. These storms were moving southeastward at 15 mph. While 
the strongest portion of these storms were out of Halifax County, 
they are still producing a considerable amount of lightning and 
heavy rainfall. 

Look for continued frequent lightning and heavy rain, up to an inch 
per hour, to affect southeastern sections of Halifax County.
