...All Area Rivers are Below Flood Stage this Morning...

Rainfall during the past 24 hours was generally less than 
one-half inch across area basins, although upstate headwaters 
had amounts well over an inch - maximum between three and 
five inches - in some locations.

With abundant atmospheric moisture in place, Scattered showers
and thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon through the 
mid-evening hours as a cold front crosses the Midlands and 
Central Savannah River Area. Locally heavy rainfall is possible,
although the quick movement of any storms will limit amounts 
to less than one-half inch overall across area basins. Higher 
amounts are once again likely over the headwaters.

A few minor rises are possible on area rivers during the next 
several days, but with upstream reservoirs several feet down from 
full pool, flooding is not expected.
