Rainfall amounts across the region were generally less than 1/4 inch with many locations only reporting a trace of rainfall during the past 24 hours. Creeks, streams, and rivers which were in flood early Wednesday have subsided and have now fallen below flood stage in all areas. A disturbance will bring another round of showers and a few thunderstorms to the area later today and tonight. Rainfall amounts through Friday are expected to average less than one inch in most areas with the heaviest rainfall expected to occur across southeastern West Virginia and along/near the Interstate 64 corridor. Minor rises on creeks, streams, and rivers will be possible as this rain falls on relatively saturated ground, but flooding is not forecast at this time. && .B RNK 0819 E DC2021081911 DH07/HG/DRH+24/HGIFF : : Station Flood 12 UTC 24-Hr Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 : ID Name Stage Stage Change 12 UTC Forecast : Thu Fri Sat Sun : : James River Basin BVSV2 :Buena Vista 17.0: 1.69/: 0.12: 1.70 / 1.90 / 1.60 / CVGV2 :Covington Cit 17.0: 4.94/: -0.03: 5.00 / 5.00 / 4.90 / LIRV2 :Lick Run 16.0: 2.50/: 0.03: 2.40 / 2.90 / 2.20 / BNNV2 :Buchanan 17.0: 3.67/: 0.78: 3.40 / 4.30 / 3.60 / HRKV2 :Holcomb Rock 22.0: 4.98/: -0.01: 5.30 / 5.80 / 5.70 / BECV2 :Bent Creek 16.0: 3.64/: 0.05: 3.80 / 4.10 / 4.20 / SVEV2 :Scottsville 20.0: 4.57/: -0.03: 4.50 / 5.70 / 5.30 / : : New/Greenbrier River Basin GAXV2 :Galax 9.0: 3.59/: -0.79: 2.50 / 2.20 / 2.10 / ALSV2 :Allisonia 8.0: 4.23/: -0.03: 3.00 / 2.50 / 2.40 / RDFV2 :Radford 14.0: 4.11/: -0.61: 3.10 / 3.10 / 2.90 / GLLV2 :Glen Lyn 15.0: 7.41/: 1.07: 4.70 / 4.20 / M / HINW2 :Hinton 15.0: 3.56/: 0.53: 3.60 / 3.50 / 2.60 / ALDW2 :Alderson 14.0: 2.44/: 0.05: 2.50 / 2.50 / 2.50 / : : Roanoke/Dan River Basin RONV2 :Roanoke 10.0: 1.35/: -0.39: 1.50 / 1.60 / 1.30 / SANV2 :Pigg R Nr San 15.0: 2.95/: -0.26: M / M / M / ALTV2 :Altavista 18.0: 2.27/: -0.32: M / M / M / BROV2 :Brookneal 23.0: 5.19/: -1.71: 4.90 / 5.30 / 5.40 / RNDV2 :Randolph 24.0: 7.94/: -6.98: 7.00 / 6.80 / 7.50 / WENN7 :Wentworth 19.0: 3.51/: 0.09: 3.10 / 2.30 / 2.30 / DVLV2 :Danville 21.0: 7.01/: -0.02: 7.00 / 5.80 / 5.60 / PCEV2 :Paces 22.0: 5.76/: -0.02: 5.80 / 5.30 / 4.30 / SBNV2 :South Boston 22.0: 9.61/: 0.34: 9.60 / 9.60 / 7.90 / : : Yadkin River Basin WKSN7 :Wilkesboro 14.0: 4.62/: 1.11: M / M / M / ELKN7 :Elkin 18.0: 5.48/: -6.79: 4.90 / 3.90 / 3.20 / : : Tennessee River Headwaters Basins SALV2 :Saltville 10.0: 1.22/: 0.11: 1.30 / 1.00 / 0.80 / RLRV2 :Richlands 10.0: 1.82/: -0.94: M / M / M / .End BANV2 :Walker Creek 11.0: 3.51/: 0.07: M / M / M / LAAV2 :Roanoke River 8.0: 1.87/: -0.09: M / M / M / MSCV2 :Mason Creek I 7.0: M/: M: M / M / M / RNKW2 :Greenbrier Ri 17.0: M/: M: M / M / M / SGWN7 :Watauga R. ne 6.0: 2.55/: -1.75: M / M / M / SHAV2 :Shawsville Sg 5.0: 0.74/: -0.47: M / M / M / SMFV2 :MF Holston R. 8.0: 1.39/: -0.46: M / M / M / WOLV2 :Wolf Creek nr 10.0: 3.38/: 0.47: M / M / M / Note: These forecasts include fluctuations caused by known changes in reservoir releases.
