At 310 AM Wednesday, automated stream gauges indicated that about 15,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water was being released from Tempe Town Lake into the Salt River. The existing flow is sufficient to cause impacts downstream along the Salt River. This will primarily affect the Rio Salado Audubon Center and the unbridged road crossings downstream in the west valley. If you have any interests along the Salt River especially along low lying areas take necessary precautions and remain alert for increases in the river level. Remember be a smart motorist and do not drive through water of unknown depth. The water may be deeper and stronger than you think.
