...WATER LEVELS WILL RISE ON AREA RIVERS FOR MID TO LATE WEEK...

...RIVER FLOODING POSSIBLE...

A long-duration, moderate to heavy rain event will bring rises on 
area rivers, especially from Christmas Eve through Christmas Day. 
Most rivers will experience much faster streamflows than normal. 
Numerous small creeks and streams will likely flood. There is also 
the possibility for some rivers to flood. 

The areas of greatest concern include the following... 
Central and Southern Los Angeles County.
Central and Southern Ventura County.
South-Central and Southeastern Santa Barbara County.

River forecast points with the greatest potential for reaching minor 
flood stage on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, include the following...
The Ventura River...including Foster Park.
The Santa Clara River...including Victoria Avenue, Piru.

River forecast points with the greatest potential for reaching 
elevated flood stage on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, include the 
following... 
The the Sisquoc River...including Garey.
The Sespe Creek...including Fillmore.

Never drive through flooded roadways, and stay away from rivers as 
water levels rise and potentially flood.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire area.
