The Pine River near Rudyard has seen river levels climb nearly 7 feet in the last 18 hours. The lastest stage is 14.3 feet, well short of flood stage of 17 feet, but river levels are still climbing quickly. People with interests along rivers in eastern upper Michigan should monitor river levels over the next couple of days. Consider moving belongings to higher ground. The National Weather Service in Gaylord will closely monitor river levels...and will issue additional statements or warnings as conditions warrant. && $$ JZ
