The following forecast is for rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

For the Flat River near Smyrna...the latest stage was 6.4 feet at 10 
AM Monday. Developing river ice was observed constricting the flow of 
the river. No significant flooding is forecast. The maximum stage 
forecasted is 6.5 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 8.5 feet.  At 
7.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of about 30 Double R Ranch Campground 
sites and in low lying areas adjacent to the river.  

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. 
Do not walk onto the ice over the river.
