The following forecasts are for rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

For the Grand River at Ionia...the latest stage was 13.4 feet at 10 
AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The maximum stage 
forecasted is 13.4 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 21.0 feet.  

For the Maple River at Maple Rapids...the latest stage was 7.0 feet 
at 9 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river 
stage has changed -0.2 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 9.0 
feet. At 7.0 feet...River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding in low 
lying pastures, farmland, and wooded areas adjacent to the river.  

For the Portage River near Vicksburg...the latest stage was 4.8 feet 
at 7 PM Tuesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage
has changed M feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 5.5 feet. At 
5.0 feet...Expect overflows into wooded areas and farmland adjacent 
to the river.  

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
