...POSSIBLE ICE JAM ON THE ONTONAGON RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF ROCKLAND...

Data from the river gauge on the Ontonagon River near Rockland
strongly suggests that a potentially large ice jam formed Tuesday
evening and released or moved downstream around midnight Tuesday
night. While downstream impacts are uncertain, elevated river
levels are likely to occur.

SAFETY MESSAGE...Residents along these rivers should remain alert 
and exercise caution when near riverbanks.
