Runoff from heavy rain has lead to higher than normal lake levels on 
the Catawba, Tuckasegee, and Broad rivers. Flooding of low lying areas 
along the shore line and areas below the dam will be likely. People who 
live near the lake shore and on streams that feed into the lake are 
encouraged to keep an eye on the weather and take action now to 
protect their property and boats.
