...The South Fork of the Shoshone River near Valley Remains High...

The South Fork of the Shoshone River near Valley...southwest of Cody is flowing
at bankfull early Tuesday morning. At 5 AM Tuesday the river at this location
was at 7.6 feet.  Flood stage is 8 feet.  The River will remain high, but is
expected to remain below the 8 foot flood stage. Despite that, there will be
minor flooding along ranchland along the creek.

Campers and anyone with interest along the South Fork of the Shoshone River and
its smaller tributaries should remain alert to any rising waters and the
possibility of minor flooding...and be aware that the river typically crests
between midnight and 6 AM. Please contact the National Weather Service in
Riverton at 1-800-211-1448 should you see flooding.
