These rain bands will bring the risk of flash flooding with high hourly rainfall rates likely to continue, as well as severe weather. While the energy associated with Arthur will clear the Carolinas this afternoon, continued moisture moving off the Gulf, in tandem with outflow boundaries and a stalling frontal boundary across the Southeast, will set the stage for another round of heavy rainfall.
