Runoff from heavy rain and snow melt has lead to higher than normal lake 
levels on the Catawba River at Lookout Shoals. Flooding of low lying areas 
along the shore line and areas below the dam will be possible. People who 
live near the lake shore and on streams that feed into the lake should 
continue to monitor conditions.
