FNUS74 KLIX 110908 FWSLIX Spot Forecast for O-04, O-2N, O-5...USFWS National Weather Service New Orleans LA 408 AM CDT Sat May 11 2024 If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. We can be reached at (985) 649-0357 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION... Northerly winds are in place following behind a cold front that passed early today and remain in place through tonight. Humidity will also fall to the 40 percent range behind the front for Saturday. As a surface high passes to the north and settles into the east of the area over the weekend, winds will shift from northerly to the southeast. By the end of the weekend and into next week, a low pressure system will bring higher rain chances, humidity, and persistent southeast winds. .REMARKS... 1) Not a typical sea breeze day. Winds should remain north through the morning hours as surface ridge continues to build in from the north. At some point early/mid afternoon, the center of the ridge will move close enough to the spot location that pressure gradient will weaken enough to possibly allow for sea breeze to develop. 2) Average confidence that Min RH's will be quite low. Forecast temps on the higher end of guidance and dewpoints on the lower end of guidance. 3) No fog expected. .TODAY...
