A low-pressure system lies over Ha'apai and Vava'u. This system is expected to move further northeastward and dissipate by tomorrow early. Northeast wind flow is expected to prevails over Tonga by later tomorrow.

FOR HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Light southwest wind, variables at times and becoming northeast tomorrow early.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with brief showers.

FOR VAVA'U:
Light to moderate north to northwest winds, fresh at times by tonight. Wind may gradually decrease to light and variable later tomorrow. Cloudy periods with occasional showers, possible heavy at times.

FOR THE NIUAS:
Light to moderate north to northeast winds, variable at times.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with brief showers.

THE STRONG WIND WARNING AND SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WERE PREVIOUSLY IN FORCE FOR HA'APAI COASTAL WATERS ARE NOW CANCELLED BUT STILL REMAINS INFORCE FOR VAVA'U, TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS.

		

FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA COASTAL WATERS

	
FOR TELE-KI-TONGA AND TELE-KI-TOKELAU COASTAL WATERS:
East to southeast winds 20-25 knots and rising up to 30 knots at times.
Rough seas (3 metres).

FOR HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA COASTAL WATERS:
Southwest wind 10-15 knots and gradually becoming east to northeasterly later in the evening.
Moderate seas (up to 2 metres).

FOR VAVA'U  COASTAL WATERS:
North to northwest winds 15-20 knots, rising up to 25-30 knots at times. Moderate to rough seas (up to 3 metres). Poor visibilities in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms. The wind will gradually decrease and becoming northeast by later tomorrow with slight seas..

FOR THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
North to northeasterly winds 10-15 knots, variables of up to 10 knots at times.
Slight to moderate seas (up to 2 metres).
