Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... No major changes to the forecast since the issuance, as high pressure continues to exert its influence over the Upper Great Lakes region. High pressure of 30.4 inches over Hudson Bay in Canada this afternoon will gradually build southward into the Great Lakes region through this weekend. Breezy northwest winds will linger in advance of the high through this afternoon, particularly across eastern portions of the lake. Winds will become lighter tonight, with generally light northerly winds then expected over the weekend as the high moves overhead. East to northeast winds are expected to pick up a little early next week as the high shifts eastward ahead of an approaching low pressure system.
