FZUS63 KMKX 130248 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 848 PM CST Fri Dec 12 2025 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Gusty westerly winds are occurring in the wake of an Arctic front as low pressure around 29.7 inches works its way east across central Ontario overnight. Brisk northwesterly winds up 30 knots will continue through Saturday night as high pressure around 30.8 inches builds across the Upper Midwest. Given the bitter cold Arctic airmass and winds, expecting to see moderate to heavy freezing spray through Sunday morning. Winds will gradually ease through the day Sunday as the high pressure moves south and east of lake Michigan into early next week. Then winds shift more southerly and ramp back up early next week as temps warm back up.
