Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A weak 29.9 inch low pressure trough currently over eastern Lake Superior moves out of the area later tonight, then ridging at 30.1 inches returns across the lake on Sunday. Ridging shifts east early next week as a broad 29.2 inch low pressure develops on the Northern Plains on Monday. A strong pressure gradient over western Lake Superior begins to set up Tuesday morning as a deepening 29.0 inch low pushes eastward against 30.0 inch ridging over far northern Ontario. This gradient loosens into Wednesday as the Northern Plains low weakens and a 29.5, and a 29.4 inch low ejecting out of the Plains moves south of Lake Superior. After a brief window of height rises late in the day Wednesday, another 29.4 inch low moves from the Central Plains into the Lower Great Lakes early Thursday.
