NZUS44 KHGX 110655 METAR WRKAVN .SHORT TERM... (Today through Tomorrow Night) Radar is picking up some light returns across the area this morning, which is likely virga but can't out rule a raindrop or two falling here and there through sunrise. This light precipitation is due to a large upper level low swinging across the Southern Plains. This disturbance finally breaks down today and exits to the east with weak ridging building into Tuesday. But this is quickly broken down by a passing shortwave Tuesday night. Likely won't see any rainfall from this weak system. But with increased moisture in the low levels from the southeasterly winds, patchy fog is possible Tuesday night. The gradual warmup begins today as the surface high pressure slides to the east inducing a southeasterly flow into SE Texas. High temperatures this afternoon will be in the low to mid 70s across the region. Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 50s for much of the area. Tuesday will be even warmer thanks to the weak ridge aloft with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and low temperatures in the low to mid 60s Tuesday night. Fowler &&
