The following is  a  release  by  the  United  States  Geological
Survey,  National  Earthquake  Information Center:  An earthquake
occurred NEAR THE COAST OF PAPUA, INDONESIA about 195 km north of
Enarotali  at 9:16 PM MDT today, Jun 15, 2010 (Jun 16 at 12:16 PM
local time in Indonesia).  A PRELIMINARY  MAGNITUDE  OF  7.0  WAS
COMPUTED  FOR THIS EARTHQUAKE.  The magnitude and location may be
revised when additional data and  further  analysis  results  are
available.   There have been no reports of damage.  The magnitude
was furnished by the NEIC.  For additional information,  see  the
