The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Rain and Snowmelt in...
  Franklin County in western Maine...
  Northern Oxford County in western Maine...

* Until 300 PM EDT.

* At 913 AM EDT, Heavy rain was moving into the Western Maine 
  Mountains. This rain will accelerate snowmelt leading to flash 
  flooding. The expectation is that rainfall rates and coverage of 
  heavy rain may increase going through midday. An additional 2 to 3 
  inches of rain may occur locally.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain and snowmelt.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small stream. Excessive runoff in
           steep terrain could also result in washouts.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding are focused 
  over snow covered locations including...
  Farmington, Newry, Bethel, Eustis, Rangeley, Andover and 
  Carrabassett Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
