The National Weather Service in Dodge City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Finney County in southwestern Kansas...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 1256 AM CDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy 
  rain across the warned area.  Several road closures and water 
  rescues from stranded vehicles were reported in Garden City.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Public reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Garden City, Holcomb and Friend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
